Cathy Cruz, Broker | Owner

For me, real estate is more about people and building relationships. Since earning my real estate license in 2005, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of buyers and sellers navigate some of life’s biggest milestones throughout the Coastal Bend. Whether it’s a first home, a growing family’s next chapter, an investment property, or a place to retire, I believe every client deserves honesty, guidance, and someone who truly has their best interests at heart.
As a lifelong Coastal Bend resident, born and raised in Corpus Christi and now proud to call San Patricio County home, I’ve watched our communities grow and evolve over the years. That local knowledge, combined with more than two decades of experience, allows me to help my clients make confident, informed decisions in an ever-changing market. Before real estate, I built a career in legal studies, risk management, marketing and insurance. Those experiences sharpened my attention to detail, strengthened my negotiation skills, and taught me how to advocate for others – skills I now use every day to protect my clients throughout the buying and selling process.
In 2026, I fulfilled a dream years in the making by obtaining my Broker’s license and opening The Chosen Real Estate Agency. Chosen is built on something much deeper than real estate. It is founded on the belief that success should never come at the expense of integrity. My mission is to serve every client-and agent- with honesty, compassion, excellence, and faith.
Throughout my career, I’ve been honored to receive recognition as Best Real Estate Agent in San Patricio County (2026), San Patricio County Association of REALTORS® Sales Agent of the Year (2020), Servant’s Heart Award (2021), REALTOR® of the Year (2022) and was featured on the cover of Corpus Christi Real Producers Magazine (September 2021 issue).
Giving back to our professions is important to me. I’ve proudly served on the Board of Directors for the San Patricio County Association of REALTORS®, held the Vice President seat and, currently serve as Chair of the Coastal Bend Association of REALTORS® San Patricio Member Engagement Committee. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me volunteering at church or in the community, spending time with my family and our rescue dogs or enjoying life on our ranch.
